Getting rid of mold & stink

mdl said:
With an interior like that I would be skeptical as to how solid the floor pans are.

Very solid suprisingly.

Nothing besides a little surface rust anywhere :dunno:

i'd say, if you're going to go ahead and pull the carpet, sand off the surface rust and paint the floor with some rustoleum.......

then take the seat covers off and run them through the wash on gentle, that'll take care of the mold

and treat the foam with hyrdrogen peroxide or something else if it stinks

Got the seats and carpet out today. The floor is in darn good shape, just a bit of surface rust in a few spots.
The seat foam is a different story. It is a odd shade of foam yellow/yuck brown and it smells like a septic tank backup.
I almost want to burn them so there isn't any risk of some new disease spawning from them or them evolving into something evil.

Thanks for all the advice, I am going to try some in my dd XJ to make nice and pretty.

Thanks and have a Have & Safe Easter
