Hydrogen Dioxide is a synonym for hydrogen peroxide.

Peroxide has 4 oxygen atoms, dioxide has 2. They bond to different hydrogen free radicals, if I recall correctly from the last chemistry class I took 8 years ago.

actually its dihydrogen monoxide...oxide by itself just doent stand up, you have to put the correct prefix in front to state how many of them there are (my chemistry teacher in high school had a study about a poll taken on whether or not people should ban it, 100 folks took the test, only 2 knew it was actually water)

Yes it would. I was typing in a hurry and blew it. I guess I'm not the smartass I thought I was . But what do you expect? My degrees are in psychology. The bumper sticker had it right though, its a seriously deadly compound, also known as Dihydrogen Monoxide or Hydric Acid. Check it out.
