front driveshaft?

I'm picking up one from a 92-93 XJ...will it work in my 97? Both are double cardan types and seem to be the same size. Any thing I should worry about? Thanks in advance!

Length due to different tranny/engine combo would be my only concern. Well, that and worn-out u-joints.

Thanks Yucca. Put it in...the u-joints were in great shape. Seems good...no vibration any longer. See what happens

What tools are needed to remove a front shaft?(nut / bolt size)

What tools are needed to remove a front shaft?(nut / bolt size)

The only things I needed were 8mm wrench(had to go out and buy a longer one) and sockets. The u-joints were already on there so it was a fairly easy install. And a grease gun for the necessary lubing.
