You know, it's bad enough that I get this crap in my mailbox every damn day, and worse still that I get some 500 emails a day - of which perhaps 20 are important enough to actually read (discounting, of course, the ones I don't even see because the SPAM filter catches them...)

But, this is a JEEP board - not an insurance forum. I also run a couple other Jeep boards, and I have to delete crap like this all the time. I can't delete threads/posts here, so I'll have to hand it over to someone else.

Worse yet is that you actually REGISTER to post this crap - not to ask a tech question, not to introduce yourself as a fellow Jeeper - but to sell insurance. I think, according to the heirarchy of species, that slugs evolved from insurance salesmen and their ilk.

So, with all that in mind, would you please be so kind as to burn in Hell? Call me cranky, but I'm tired of seeing all the adverts thrown in my face, and I know perfectly well how to use the Yellow Pages, in the event I actually do want something. Moreover, I tend to remember things like this, and I WILL NOT purchase from someone who feels the need to shove this crap under my nose, no matter how nice they tell me it smells.

I don't need insurance, I have plenty. I don't need "credit protection plans" - I get those through my credit union. I don't need dating services - I am married, and deliriously happy with my wife.

However, if you know of a service that will cancel stuff like this so I don't have to see it, and that would send a large fellow named "Vinnie" or "Tony" to break the fingers of anyone who makes it through the filter somehow, I could possibly be convinced to sign up for that. It would save me the trouble of causing someone severe physical harm myself, and most computers are difficult to operate with shattered paws...

I guess I'm just cranky, but "junk mail" has gone ENTIRELY too far, and it needs to be stopped. I think the Postal People would do well if they'd start charging double for bulk advertising mail - then maybe my shipping and mailing rates would stop going up.
