Frame stiffeners thoughts and opinions...

Welded mine right to the tube....and to the pinch seam...worked well, until the tree fell on the truck......:wow:

I did the same and added some more plating between the tubes and the frame. I bolted my sliders to the pinch seem but used 1x1 solid stock the full length of the pinch seem and about 10 grade-8 1/4x20 bolts per side. The sliders were made of 2"x4"x3/16" tubing.

They have held up well.

I see that HDOR sells the front/rear separately, Does anyone have experience installing the front sections on a MJ?

I don't have the front stiffy's yet but I want to get a set of them.

What about Morgan Fab Works. He did most of the work on High2by's XJ.

The trail rig yes, but on my '99 DD, Rock Solid put the stiffy's on.

I never had frame stiffy's on my trail rig....go figure. :dunno:

Not the new XJ, Mark quit wheeling the Trail rig after Matt's rocker replacement attempt failed and the doors got wedged closed, but lets not go there. No need to stir anything up guys...

For the record that's not why I quit wheeling the trail rig. I didn't have the money at the time to rebuild my front axle after I toasted a front shaft and blew the ball joints out. When that happened, if it wasn't for Matt helping, I might still be on the trail. :D Thanks Matt!!!!
