Or better yet, you could cut up aluminum cans, flatten the cut pieces into aluminum sheets and pop rivet them on to the frame sides of your xj

Just make sure to have your frame pickled before it is plated!

I suggest using those $.75 black plates from wal mart, I think a couple hundred would do it.
