Gotta say, it was gorgeous up there. Very much in season.
Took the XJ up to the Fordyce trailhead and around some of the trail to the Pierce OHV area, then hiked to Eagles Lake and had lunch.
Trail up to the start of Fordyce was a *lot* gnarlier than anticipated. Is that representative of forest service roads in the area? In utah / colorado, a typical forest service road was doable in a Subaru...
Only put the one dent in my rockers, not real bad actually.
Still, I'm starting to regret having sold off all the lift parts from my Jeep. Now that I live in Nevada City, it's all pretty close & looking pretty good again.
