Sorry, I haven’t been all that active here so I haven’t kept up with the rules. I’m fine with that rule, it makes sense. I’m just glad ya’ll have let us non-paying guests participate in the tech forums, they have been a big help to me from time to time, but I wouldn’t be here if it were a pay-only site because I just don’t use the forum that much.
Anyhow, I’m about to be forced out of the XJ community, and I wanted to offer my 92 XJ carcass to the community here. Is there a place for a “community interest” for sale posting, one that benefits the community more than the seller? The insurance company is going to total my XJ and sell it some junk yard, and then you guys are going to buy it from them piece meal for thousands of dollars. I wanted to cut out the middleman by offering it here to anybody that would beat the insurance company “salvage value.”
Below is what I had drafted as a “for sale” ad. If you think it serves the community’s interest, you can run it in the for sale forum and I’ll respond (assuming I can post replies in there). If you don’t think it’s in the community’s interest, you can delete this post, and I’ll let the insurance company take it. Either way, good luck to you guys, it’s been fun!
