finaly got an XJ 99 limited with some stuff

Ok measured it tonight. Stock XJ is about 4.75in from front axle to oil pan. Mine is about 11.25in, I have 3.5in tube so add what another .5in to that?

Looking like I'm about 6.5/7in in the front. Its looking like I'll put some 4.5 coils in the front and make the back match some how.

Steering mocked up before I cut the tubing. Would have it driving around now however I was sent the wrong insert that came in Thursday, however the company doze it and the correct one will be here tomorrow.

While I'm waiting on that I've put the shock mounts on, exhaust, plugging the evap lines and am going over all the brakes to make sure as soon as the insert is here ill be driving this around. I picked up a winters shifter for a 4L60E at a good deal then ordered the AW4 install kit from wide open however UPS had a mess up so it won't be here till Monday.

Ya mostly shits oil onto the exhaust and smokes up the inside since I have holes in the floor from removing the e-brake and trans case shifter.

Next to my brothers toilet, rammed it the other night with the winch bumper, pushed it a but further into the woods.

Hahah ya it seems to sit funny, did you tweak the unibody? I'm not sure yet since I don't have all new and matching springs in it.

Hmm, now that I have good springs on the back it seems to sit level.


Flexes ok although I need a little more trimming and to play with different shock length then set the bumps.

I think it looks good, you just need some real shocks to match those badass axles/suspenion.

365/65/r16 are what's on it.


The rear springs come unseated at the top at full flex, it's normal.

Are you talking about a 3rd crossmember for the trans case or frame stiffeners? I plan on doing both as I'm putting the 5.3 in because that 205 has to be all of 130lbs.
