I see RJ and Grizzley beat me to the keyboard. I want to thank RJ, Kel and the senior Clayton's for making this event possible, and I alsowant to thank those who made the trek: Matthew, Betty and "AJ"; RJ, Kelley and Duncan; Moto and Dawn (? It is Dawn, isn't it? We weren't introduced directly); John Albaum and Jill; Adam and Jason; Mark "Lawn Cher'" -- and thanks to Brett for being our trail guide.
Did I miss anyone?
Even the weather cooperated. Saturday was a bit on the chiily side, but not a problem when we were in the Jeeps. Nice, clear day with beautiful scenery. The rain held off just long enough for everyone to pack up Sunday morning and get on the road toward home. The trail Brett picked for us was sane enough that stock XJs could get through without risking major mayhem, with a few rocky areas and hill climbs to keep it from being boring. Nice wheeling -- just what I'd want if I were 400 miles from home.
Now if I just had a Jeep with a working clutch ...
The good news for you

-NAC hard-core types is that Brett, our trail guide, said finding trails for us isn't a problem. The problem is finding some that are easy enough for stock vehicles.
Bass Harbor Campground is a beautiful facility on a beautiful island. Y'all who stayed at home missed a great weekend. I'll have my pics back in a day or three and see if I can get them posted somewhere.
