I was a little aggravated when I saw mike in the hole. I've seen it eat a few XJ's & it usually spits out a destroyed side. Luckily Mike's cage & bolt on side guards did their job & the only damage was a small dent in front of the hatch, a crack in the hatch (still works), & a busted quarter window. Nothing major.

pretty sure i jammed the waggy through it back when it was smaller....it still made the ass end smaller on the other side tho

Yes... that would be the one Doug. The Waggy didn't fair as well though and I just knew Mike's was going to end up in just as bad of shape lol. But luckily he did ok and got out mostly unscathed.

The hatch is made of SMC Fibergrass. West System 105 epoxy resin, 103 hardener works great at making a repair that will be as strong as original.

Maybe they put the new nose on the older style XJ? I never got a chance to go over this rig up close.

Good point! I did not think of that. I hope to soem day check this place out. The guy that runs our TN office lives about 20 or 30 min from there I do believe.
