Engaged... Finally?

Just thought I'd share with you all that I proposed to my girlfriend, Rebecca, of 5 years!!

No plans on the wedding, I promised her father, and myself, that we wouldn't get married till both of us are done with school, and one of us has started a career job.

Many of our family/friends are saying finally, but I think its a smart thing to take time before rushing into things.

Hopefully I'll convince her to come to an event... She's kinda weary after hearing about some of the things that go on here.... :greensmok

Deb & I have been together for the better part of 15 years now (this time around....) living together for 5, bought a house together 18 months ago. Good idea to not rush into things.

Funny story from Moab for ya. On the last day of this year's Fall Fling, I'm tail gunning on the Elephant Hill trail in the Canyonlands Needles District, 75 miles from Moab. As I'm waiting at the bottom of the steep slope & switchbacks at the entrance, a young couple comes running up to my driver's window, rather excitedly. Turns out that he's a registered user (Hi, Spencer!) and his fiance/wife had never been offroading before. She got a good intro to the club, and light wheeling on the same day. They weren't expecting to find a bunch of XJs (his is an early XJ, locked, 6" lift, etc., nice XJ) but fell in with us for a long trail ride.

Congrats man. I just got married after about 6 years with my girl. People keep asking me if married life is different.

I just tell them i get more sammiches now.
