I just wanna know which (if any) trails are Stocker Friendly for the club run this weekend april 8th?

and of these trails, what's the average carnage report for people who truly prize the appearance of their vehicle?

hate to sound like a noob...but I gotta make my jeep last a LOONNGG TIME (and damage isn't in the maintenance schedule!)

Club run? Or are ya just lookin to do some wheelin saturday?

Tahuya State Forest is quite stocker frendly. Elbe, you will get damage, not for a stocker. Reiter, not for a stocker. Evans has some trails that stockers can make it with some damage. Natches, dunno.

Oly 4 wheelers club run ... I'm just trying to figure out if I should even try to manange my jeep on those trails this weekend (up country with 235 sno terrains!?!).

or bring a camera and practice my photography skills.

I've gotten my jeep (and former ford ranger) into some odd spots, and out without damage before...but looking at some of those slot car tracks scare me. (clausterphobia)

does it make a difference that my XJ's a former DNR rig thats setup for light duty trail work?
Up Country Suspension, Skids, Tow Hooks? and that I have aggressive tires?

That's all stuff you should have anyway. ;) No, stay away from Elbe this time of year with your setup. Not only will you run into problems, you'll cause them for others when they can't get around you. Poor trail etiquette. Grab some friends with capable rigs, say at least 33s and appropriate gearing, maybe some lockers...and ride along. Post pics when you get back!

Hey XplodeJeepster. I live in the Olympia area, Is oly 4 wheeler a 4x or jeep club? or are you just asking if 12gaugexj is just from oly.

Sure thing, I'll leave my dirty pavement princess in the camp and just have fun with the club.

If you look at the map I posted...just stay off the busywild trail, the swamp trail, and the lower portion of the sunrise trail and you should ok with a stocker. These guys that say you can't go to Elbe with a stock xj are sure underestimating the capabilities of the mighty cherokee. Especially if you have all the skids and tow points and some aggressive tires.

Expect some body damage...Good luck!

I plan on being up there April 8th also...I believe the BLAST club is having a run up there. See you on the trail!

Oly 4 wheelers is a club... recognizible by the Olympia brand BEER can, that happens to look like a jeep wrangler.

The club is for all off road enthusiasts - note that I said enthusiasts...I'm not able to take my jeep to the EXTREMES(or much anywhere - since I can't afford any possible damage) that say...the guy with the high riding samurai can. with that said, no, Oly 4 wheelers is not Jeep exclusive, when I started going I had an old broken ford ranger (its in readers rigs here on NAXJA)

I have taken, and helped others take stock rigs (many different kinds) in some very difficult places with no damage. Many of us have. XJ's are very capable in stock form. However, That does not mean that anyone should ever recommend trails at Elbe or any other places if you do not know the driver, spotter, etc.

The capability of a rig is very dependant on the driver and what they feel comfortable doing. Anytime you go off road with any vehicle you had better expect damage or you will eventually be disapointed.

This original post made it clear that damage was not a viable option. In that case, riding shotgun and taking the camera is the educated answer.

The first question was which trails are stocker friendly for a club run this weekend:

The second question was, of these trails what’s the average carnage report:

Both of my answers were to the point and very educated.
