You're on the wrong forum man, you should just buy a Duramax, Cummins, Powerstroke, put some 37s on there and chrome that bitch out if you're going to stay on the road. Its kind of an insult to Jeeper culture to come on here, and have some pavement queen...

I personally don't get it.. I keep my Jeep just like yours same colour.. same lift, size of tires and rims.. and I use mine all the time. And it cleans up and looks just as good as yours.

Why would you spend as much as we all do on gas.. just to have DD?

Its going to leak, and then you're not going to have any spring damping.

not to mention a raging oil fire, woohoo

at least it will be a pretty bright orange flame with black smoky tips :D

LOL.. ive had 3 XJ's altogether, ive had my share of fun for now.

If i wanted something to trash it SURELY wouldnt be my Jeep being that its actually nice?

Dont even say wheeling doesnt trash your rig, or deplete its value at least.

If i wanted something to trash i would go buy, you guessed it, a piece of junk cherokee!

At least I dont have to work on my shit all the time and have all my friends say, "why do you put so much time and effort into that thing just for it to look like SHIT!?"

Ive gone through this before, just thought i would give some of the people who actually want a perfectly clean and somewhat valuable XJ, a hint of what duals look like on a cherokee..

If i didnt have about 3 grand worth of shit laying around for a cherokee, i wouldnt have bought another one. Im not the type to be rollin a escalade though, maybe you all are endless money pits with no pity for a practically mint vehicle? But whatever ive made my point i guess..

I building up a pavment pounder for my daily driver. Wont be as high as yours, but it will only be taken offroad to get to the snow or something. Other then that, its all for show. And Im dang proud of that. I have another Jeep for trail duties.

I dont really like the duals, and personally I dont think they fit very well with the Jeeps, but whatever. Its yours, and you can do whatever the hell you want to do with it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess.

I see a rig that is too clean and its ugly to me.

Show me one that is dented on every pannel but actually "used" for something and to me...thats beautiful.

Chrome tips on a cherokee? Sorry thats just funny.:confused1

Watch out, you might get flamed like hell for driving your Jeep on the road.

I really dont see why everyones whining. I get 14-16 mpg. Google the gas mileage of a stock Hemi Ram. Thanks.

Im not flaming you. You can do what you want. If you like the way it looks thats great.

I just think chrome is silly.

But yeah, I did it for looks. I can give you pics of the underneath, its so clean, i cant clean it anymore. No rust, not even any dirt, nor dust. Still all factory undercoating and paint on the bottomside. Why ruin it.

But its all about the bling bling!!:greensmok

You have to admit, that a nicely done, clean lifted XJ is nice. Maybe you dont like this one, but others that are done nicely, do sometimes look good. Or maybe thats just me:anon:

I'm hoping for the same outcome with mine, however not as big because I'm a poor bastard. Nothing wrong with a clean XJ. Might as well drive it until it starts falling apart, THEN offroad it and give her shit. Keep it nice while you can man...doesn't look like a $500 truck, why destroy it?

BTW the exhaust is nice.

Give it to me.

Hey let the flamers flame. I'm wanting to build a pretty jeep too. I've got big plans for mine. I doubt that I'll be going as high but I'm doing a paint job and some fenders. There will be some bling. Nothing ghettofabulous though.

Mine will still be wheeled and I couldn't own one without taking it out but I like the daul exhaust, although I'd find another way around that rear shock.

Looking good! Now just get some dirt on it once in a while!

Akswampheep, just for all of us who need to know exact placement of stock parts, and true wire placement, will you post that picture you said you would of your pretty lil underbody, cause I deffinetly would like to find out where some of these wires i got hanging go.

Well... lol

Where exactly are your wires hanging??

I just changed my tranny and the only wires under there are pretty much only for the tranny and transfer case, and they should be ran above all of that. So if you have wires hanging... thats not good lol.

Tell me where they are and i may be able to help you.

Nothin' wrong with a pretty Jeep, but it would be a shame if you didn't at least let it run over something now and then. That'd be like having a hounddog and keeping it in a cage. Let that dog hunt from time to time to remind it who it is!

My Jeep's pretty if you ask me, but it still sees trails. You can have the best of both worlds, just more trips to the car wash that's all. I wouldn't mind letting this Jeep go trail-only in a few years and get myself a street demon Jeep with the bling-bling :greensmok

If anyone wants to read this little blurb I wrote about posuers.. go right ahead.. since I really hate posuers.

I drive a big truck.. it gets attention sometimes positive, and sometimes
negative.. a lot of people think I do it to show off my bank account or use
it as an extention of my manhood, and I would be lying if I said I didn't like
that attention on occation.

Do not get me wrong, this is not why I bought and built my Jeep. If you
don't believe me all you have to do is come for a drive to realize what when
you're in a truck like mine, driving can be a totally differant experience.
You can go places other people can't, and do things other people don't
even think is possible.

What I love, is when I am driving my Jeep with about 300 pounds of mud
all over the hood and cab only to see another Jeeper with 600 pounds of
mud covering his/her vehicle. If I happen to cross paths with a fellow Jeeper I
wave, or honk sometimes even pulling over to stop and talk about trucks.
When I am out shopping I can walk back to my Jeep and have people
waiting to talk to me and set up trail runs and camping trips. It brings
people like me, with my intrests, together and its also a good way to
express yourself. Vehicles have always about expression.. and I think its a
good thing.

But for everyone I see that actually goes out and uses their Jeep and
abuses them like they are supposed to be used!! I see at least 10 jacked
up 60,000$ brand new trucks, gleaming just being freshly polished with
chrome trim and blinging wheels. Trucks that will never see gravel, dirt or
mud. Heaven forbid. Its these people that bother me.. poseurs.

Jeepers will chase me down, and get me to follow them to a hidden mud
pit, or rock mound.. and waste half a tank of gas just bombing around
even though they can't afford to refill their tank till payday or even risk
breaking a part knowing fully they don't have any other way to get to work
in the morning. I have done the same when I see people I havn't wheeled
with and its a new experience everytime.

When it comes to those posuers, no matter how hard I wave or honk,
these prissy little fags driving their rolling bank accounts will not use their
vehicles they specifically moddified for the purpose of offroad to even
acknowledge me, let alone follow me and embrace the very hobby and
lifestyle they are spending thousands of dollars trying so hard to emulate!!
And thats what makes me mad.

And you sir, are a posuer.
