ive been on here for a while now but never posted so here goes first post.. here is my build flame away....

here is what i started with 92 xj crappy sparkle red paint job on 32s crappy 4" lift home made control arms from stock ones..lol

so me and my buddy started tearin it down and sanding it

and paint

new chrysler 8.25 out of a 97 xj with 29 splines

used 35s (for now) and rock crawlers

front painted ready to build dana 30

and i am doing my own gears its actually not that hard just requires some patience and making sure its right

here is the rest of my front end build

night work requires some redbull

5/8 tie rod end

and now here is the chrysler 8.25 29 spline build with arb

old open carrier out

new arb

primer and bulk head fitting installed

pinon depth ready and bearing install, this is the freeze/heat method..... works really good suprisingly, notice the frost:thumbup:

now to build the disc brake conversion and its ready to go under...... except for those stupid a$$ leaf spring hangers......:flamemad:

open to suggestions, my plan was to leave pocket open on bottom and weld it back together, but i saw that they make a bracket to replace this whole stupid thing

Since you're dealing with it anyway now would be a good time for a shackle relocation kit.

That kit looks nice but if it were me I would just fab up some new parts.

Too bad the HDO relocating brackets are for the rear of the leaf spring, not the front. Look closer at the picture.

Honestly doin gears is not all that hard, I was a little nervous on the first set we did but after doing one set and learning what to do and not to do, and having the right tools its not that hard.

starting to learn how to weld...

not very good but just gotta practice. Also started the disc brake conversion tonight.

it almost fits with no grinding so it doesnt take much

now it fits nice and snug
