What the heck are you guys welding?

just securing the hinge that is factory welded to the body. after a while they start to rip and pull off.

when I cut the hinges the bolt head falls out...

For that, yeah, just drop a 1/4" bolt into the hole. I ground a point on the end to make it easier to get it lined up...

Nope.

Once the door is on, the weight pulls sideways on the bolt. The bind holds it in place just fine.

Five summers doorless, four winters with the modified hinges, no problems.
