My dad gave me this out of his old staion wagon that my grandfather made. Right now i have it clamped and letting the glue dry.The wood broke right down the middle because it sat in the rafters of my dads garage for five years. gonna have to make it shorter as it is way too long. now the pics.

More pics to come should have some pic of me cutting and rewireing it tomorrow.

Im not sure I understand where youre going to mount this. What does the other side look like?

the center of the roof like the factory overhead console

the white rectangles on the green and white box in the back of my xj those will go in the cut outs. it will light up as a very bright dome light

That looks like it came out of a 70s Love Van. :laugh3::moon:

I think he mean the side with no lights, the side that we would see if its mounted lol

ya adding the l.e.d. helps to make it sound better, for a moment I thought this was one of those horrible ghetto fab lol

my grandfather made the for my dads 85 oldsmobile station wagon. but he save it when gave the car to a high school shop class. my grandfather was a master handy man and wood worker so nothing is ghetto fab lol. i will take some better pics tomorrow of the other side and you all will have a better idea of what i looks like put in. as to why im bothering, well i loved my grandpa he taught my a lot and made me who i am. he died in apirl 2001 so its just kinda nice to have something my grandpa built with his own 2 hands, modified by me to serve a new purpose.

Looks like a kitchen light out of a 1972 lower east side apartment. You should install it back in the motor home it came out of.

my grandfather built it 15 years ago. its more of a tribute to my grandfather who died in 01. he was a master woodworker and handyman. so please do not insult his memory by saying i got it out of a motorhome. oh and nice looking xj you got there bud.

It's your Cherokee, do what you like. If your Grandfather built that and it means something to you than "rock it"!

Naysayers gonna nay say.
