i didnt cut out allot of metal. its allot of taking the header panel off and on with headlights and seeing where headlights hit so you know what metal to cut. i would make a mold but i dont have the time or place to do it. its really not that hard if you have some fiberglass experience. You have to cut the headlight holders from the existing header panel and the lower peace to make the headlights fit. i layed down a garbage bag on a table and lay down the header panel with headlights. i made sure where any fiberglass touches it is well sanded with course sandpaper. I also made sure the headlights were taped up so no fiberglass gets on it. once i have my headlights positioned where i want them i lay fiberglass mat then i brush on the fiberglass on top, mainly where it meets up with the header panel. i do one layer then wait til its dry, then i through more layers til its about flush with the header panel. When all dry i remove the headlights and look from the backside and it shows me where to cut, so you get the shape of headlights. grind down any fiberglass thats to high and fill with fiberglass filler. Lots of sanding, fill with fine filler to get perfect. youll also want to grind the backside smooth then i put more mat with fiberglass for strength. Allot of work but its way cheaper.
