Does your helper do this too?

I took my daughters IBM thinkpad apart last month down to removal of the motherboard and did the put it in a pile thing, had 8 left over after reassembly, got it down to 2 after the 3rd disassembly and reassembly and those last two are driving me *$#&#@&$& nuts.

My logic is if I have left over parts at the end of the day dismantling it a number of times will leave me enough parts to build a new one.

My "helper" would try to drive the nut and bolt together with a hammer.

here is my little helper....

funny story...on this day, i was doing something, maybe installing my tranny cooler? cant remember...anyway, she wanted to help, so she was grabbing random wrenches and pretending to fix daddy's jeep....I wasn't paying much attention, i just snapped that pic b/c i thought it was cute....

notice the location she's at....

now think about your unibody "frame" and the little holes in it (drainage?)

I didn't think of this....

Took a test drive and every time i hit a bump, i kept hearing this rattling sound. I kept thinking "i wasn't doing anything to the suspension...hmmm" - i must have spent the next two hours checking every bolt on the front end, looking for something rattling, loose, etc...couldn't find a thing. More driving, still the rattle....WTF?

well, i finally gave up thinking it was just some phantom sound, til a little while later when I installed my rock rails....and inside the "frame" i found a bunch of my smaller wrenches stuffed in the holes....thanks to my little helper :D

classic...I couldn't help but shake my head and laugh...and now the rattle is gone!

kids are amazing and awesome :D

I laughed out loud when I read this. My daughter loves to help me on my Jeep also. I was wiring up my OHC in my 94 and I was complaining on how my back hurt and theses wires were had to get at. I went inside for a minute and my then 6 year old daughter grabbed my wire cutters and made them easier for me to reach, right on my workbench. I came outside and was going to yell when I looked at her, saw how cute she was and laughed and told her thank you for trying to help, but Dad would rather you ask before you do anything on the Jeep. How can you not smile and wonder how their little minds can come up with solutions and not even think of the problem they can create. I did make her hold the light as I was soldering and shrink wrapping everything back together.
