Do I need new steering?

There's a tiny kink in the tie rod of my 44 front. Is this enough to need a new one?

If it's enough to worry you, I'd say yes. That kink would make a weak spot and if you're wheeling and hit a trie against a rock or something, it could be more likely to bend at that point.

thats just a factory tierod with a factory bend meant to clear the diff cover.

If you're worried about it I would buy a new one as a spare and then run the old one till it bends.

My main concern is if it will make my new tires wear faster

it looks to be a factory bend, much like the ZJ V-8 tie rod. it wont make your tires wear any faster as long as it is adjusted properly
