Allright, I got a free axle from a guy at work, He knows very little about offroading and axles so he just gave it to me. I was under the impression it was a D60 becuase it is out of a 1998 3/4 ton Dodge with a 360. When i went to pick it up I measured it and it was larger O.D. and larger width then my friends D60. Quick guess with a tape measure and it measures 3.75 diameter. I figured it was a D70 but i took out a shaft and only counted 30 splines,

Anyone know what this may be, looks huge, but shafts are 30 spline.

Thanks, Gene MJ

oH yea, there is no stamping anywhere on this thing, three of us have read every stamp on the thing, cant find a thing about a model. i do know it has a 4.10 and posi.

:dunno:
Could be some kind of a Chrysler corporate axle.
I had an older Dodge once. It had a corporate rear and a Dana front.
Sorry I'm not much help.
Dan.

Is it an AAM axle? maybe a 1050?
:dunno:

Its a D60, the newer (1995+) Cummins 3500 Rams have D70's.

I have seen some semi-float 9.25 Corporate axles under 360 powered 2500 series trucks, but they are a "Light" 3/4 ton that the federal government buys, for some unknown reason.

You have a 30 spline D-60.

Look on the passenger side axle tube, on the back, and get the bill of materials number. Should be a six digit number usually starting in '6.' I can look that up in my Dana XGI book and tell you exactly what it is, what type of diff it came with, gear ratio, etc.

Uh, just send it to me & I'll get back to you with what it is.....

It should be a Dana 60... 1994 to 02 HD 2500's use a D60 with a 360 and a D70 with a diesel or v-10. 94 to 97 LD 2500's use a HD 9.25 semi float axle. 3500's all use a Dana 80
