Honestly when he makes a statement like "Trust me I know more about whats going on then you think" it makes me a little nervous.

If any of you guys have a problem with me being here, helping out or giving any kind of advice please feel free to tell me about it now. I have a thick skin.

I have tried very hard to keep my opinions to just that...opinions. I hope you have never felt like I was trying to push this club in a direction you haven't wanted it to go. That isn't my job and I have never tired to have that effect on you.

Wherever he’s getting his “information” from isn’t from me. You made it clear last year that whoever the new BOD was; you would be available to help however you could. I wonder what Dan would have preferred. To have you completely out of the picture as the new BOD tried to pick up the pieces? Should I resend my offer to help next years BOD so as to avoid the next President being referred to as my puppet? Maybe that would only make him Ryan’s puppet’s puppet.

By the way, I hope you’re noticing all the IC members coming to your defense. I was especially surprised to see Rebecca say something since you two seem to butt heads occasionally.

I'm sure most people will see it for what it is, just Dan acting childish. Hopefully, he's got it out of his system and we can let it drop. I kind of wonder if he planned on sticking around much longer anyway. Based off of what he said about needing to be a member during the election, and that was a ways up the thread before he made the drink comment.

I think he is Bi-polar. I don't know if any of you were around to remember the Mark Hinkly fiasco...which I actually sided with Dan on. He left for a long time and I never thought he would come back. He will leave, say it's all my fault(last time it was the national BOD's fault) and in a year or so he will be back.

There are others who have access to this forum though, I would really like to know if any one else has talked to him about what has gone on in this forum.

I thought about it breifly, but felt that as a paying member, Dan had a right to his opinion. If it had escalated to something where several members were joining in on the "hate Ryan" bandwagon and that nothing good would come of it, I would have shut it down. As it is, I think there is a lot of positive comments that came out of the thread.

It sure did end up off topic though, didn't it? Fortunately, Ryan has pulled my puppet strings to close the thread and open a new one.

And as far as the "I hate Ryan" bandwagon...trust me its been around for awhile. One of the first things I told my wife four years ago when I was running was that if I won we were bound to piss some people off. As most of you know, any time you get a group over 10 people at least 2 of them will not be happy about your decisions.

I could sit here and name names. I know of several who have never felt that I ran the chapter the right way, thats fine by me. Normally I don't get worked up over it. I guess the thing that got to me this time was that Dan took it in a real personal direction. The son of a bitch(pardon my language) called me Saturday afternoon! He wanted to know if we would be around so he could come hang out.

It also seriously bugs me because I felt that in trying to insult me, he really insulted Israel. If someone told me that I was someones puppet, I would be pulling some puppet strings out of someones rear end...if you know what I mean. I wouldn't tolerate that and it really offended me.

Anyway, I'm done ranting about it...stay tuned for another thread though.

Meh. I was brand new to the position and had (probably still have) no clue how to run the chapter. I relied and continue to rely heavily on everyone’s support, especially yours since you are the past president. If he interprets that as being a puppet, then so be it. As I mentioned earlier, the other option of you leaving us high and dry is a scary one.

So he called you the day before the BBQ? How odd that he would want to hang out one day and a few days later he starts a personal attack in our public forum. I wonder if it was more of a minor concern that snowballed into something he really didn’t intend very quickly.
