I guess I kinda dropped the ball on this one.... fixed it wheeled it at Harlan this summer and killed it again... well sort of...

Ripped the header off again. Going to build a hoop and leave it off....

You can see the hoop here... but I think it will need some support....

Thoughts are either a rocker replacement and send a tube back and down. Thought about a piece of tube straight back to the firewall but that might be difficult. Any other ideas?

Idk, I'm, quite fond of my fenders and header panel. Put it all back on and move the tube forward a bite and it should stay on there...

A stinger in front is a thought but I still want to tie it into something behind it....

Put all the panels back on, add your hoop that you have and come off of it, thru theheader panel, thru the firwall and tie to the existing a pillar of your cage.

You need to pop the hood and look... you cannot do that without relocating a lot of stuff... On the passenger side alone you have the battery, power distribution box and other stuff in the way.

I meant to go between the inner fender and the outer fender then angle in towards the cage at the firewall. Not actually inside the engine bay. I'm sure it's easier said than done but I have faith in ya.

Ok, yea that was the plan or thought at first but It has some problems....

YEa well down here its about 120.00 for a stick of 2x4 3/16. I figure I need about 12' though. I'll keep looking.

IIRC i used about 15 and change on hers, i think i bought 15 and ended up with a 2"drop from the piece


2x4x3/16-$100 for 20ft

2x6x3/16-130 for 20ft


so maybe not enough to justify the hassle.....

Whew, seems like I got my stick for less than that.

I bought a piece of 2x6x.25 20ft for around 100 I think. I'd have to check the price again. That was last year.
