Ok so seems like everyone wants me to cut the Ghost up..... I personally like doors and full body panels. So no cutting yet. However the front frame rail needs a lot of work. I think I will try and lower it too. Front will get narrower with a change in backspacing on the rims. So....

I will be pushing the lower pieces back up and then trying to reinforce this area. .25 plating all around the frame horn. I'll redo the TB mount on the frame end too. I might even just weld it in place. Thoughts?

I would plate the front frame section since it has all that weight and stress on it. Use HD Off Road front stiffners combined with more plating.

Doesn't JKS make something to reinforce the steering area?

Or chop off the front and tube it like MacGyver did........

The front steering box is already plated on the outside. I'm going to pull the winch bumper this week and maybe even the stering box to see what I already plated and what is factory.

brians front frame stiffener set would do you well... tie it all into the plate that is behind your bumper and steering box, run a long plate stringer underneath the rail to replace the one you destroyed, extend 1/4" plate from the tb mount and tie in that motor mount bracket.

Tub and re-plate what you can on the inner fender front to make more room for big meats, narrow the front and lower it, rocker replacements for strength and clearance Straighten out rear pillars as best you can, put a hatch and plexi windows on it, beef the cage a bit more and prepare to be amazed at the places it will take you.........

......... at least thats just my opinion..... thoughts?

Merged them.... I don't remember doing that.....

I think this pull:

Some repairs:

Welded up the broken sheet metal and welded up the cracked mount.

Cut the bottom section off the TB to move the mount location over.

My TB was way too short.

New TB mount that added about 5" to the length of my TB.

Built this out of an old tie rod:

Tie rod was cut in half. It is one Andy @ Ironman4x4fab built for me before he was Ironman4x4fab. 1.25x.25 DOM that I bent. :) Found a 1" spacer at Lowe's that was a couple thousands too round. So I cut a slit in it pressed it together and slid it in. Rosette welded both sides then welded the gap in the middle. Then I slid a piece of 1.5" x /120 wall DOM over it all and welded the ends. It worked as a TB till this package arrived!

When the bumper was removed it was hanging by 3 grade 8 out of the 4 that are its mount. One was loose the other 2 were tight and one was missing. :D Ops! So I think my front ears are flexing:

Notice cross member is removed for great approach angle and a recessed winch. Also notice I left as much as I could so there would be some structure there. It obviously is getting tweaked. So something is needed across there. Problem. How do you put a cross bar in with a steering box and pitman arm in the way? Solution:

Steering box brace tied into both sides.

As you can see the cross brace needs a slight bend to it or to be mounted further forward.
