if your XJ is a DD list what your gas mileage is and gear ratio/tire combo

me, i get 14-16 MPG average and a DD. 4.56 with 35's

just curious to see how many of us still commute in our XJ's and pay that $60 to fill er up every week!

On my 99......
31's and 3.55's .... 15 to 18 mpg.
With 30's on it I can get 21/22 mpg on the highway. (trips)

On my 91.......
30's and 3.55's ... uhhhhhhhhh ..........

if i had to guess ... id say around 14 mpg?????????

Mine's sadly still stock, and I get almost 17 mpg (it's always like 16.89 or something close...) I drive it to school everyday through a lot of stop and go traffic though, so I probably could get better if on the hwy.

32" + 3.55 = crappy. I get about 10-12mpg, maybe as much as 15 on freeway. Have to fill up every three days or so. :(

AW4 12MPG 3.55 w/ 31" moving up to 4.56 w/ 31" shortly

I'm in the same boat! 4.56s go in in this week (hopefully).

I actually got 14 out of the last tank but I drove in 3rd gear all of the time. I never let it go into over-drive.

I don't feel so bad all of a sudden.

95, 4.0, AW4, 3.55s with 285/75/16 I get mid to upper 16's.

I do try to keep the RPMs around 2100/2200, that's when I seem to do my best. If I sell my other vehicle, I might go to 35s, then I'll just drive in 3, and it will be almost the same as stock. Until I get the 4.88s.
