Spoke to the builder today about my D44 rear and we had a discussion about a truss for it.
He has an XJ with an "infinite radius" bend of tubular steel the connects to the two housing tubes of a Dana 44.
I drew this up to represent it.
the bend is done on a machine that achieves said "infinite Radius" bend.
What i am wondering is the actual strength of a single tube bent this way..
And if i should go with a plate steel design such as http://www.tntcustoms.com/webv5/reartruss.asp..
thanks
Aaron
I dont plan on linking the rear or doing an anti wrap bar. I dont plan on baja etc... I will attack rocks and will be running 35's on the D44.
