D.I.Y. RAD Rock+Rail shifter install with no CEL on a 99

2 Questions:

Could you elaborate on how to add the resistors? On my '00 I cut the solenoid wires on the existing TCU harness and routed them to a On/Off/On switch, and then wired in rail shifter. Would I add the resistors inline from the wires going to the TCU from the switch so it keeps it from tripping? I don't think I have a clear understanding based on your pictures.

Also, how do you add an LED to let you know when the rail shifter is in use?

The resistors are bridged between the solenoid outputs on the TCU and ground. I drew up a schematic of how I had everything wired up.

As for adding an LED to indicate when the shifter is in use, since the switch it in my line of sight I can just glance down and see if the switch is up or down and that's how I know if the shifter is in use. If you wanted to do something like that you'd probably want to do a 3 pole switch and use the 3rd pole to switch power going to the shifter and add an LED onto that.

Since it's been awhile since I've updated this thread, I figured I'd give everyone an update and let them know the mods are still working great and I recently installed a transgo hd2 kit in my trans. That alone really woke things up, my trans will now bark the tires of the 1-2 shift.
