Re: Free Jeep

I was reffering to the 2.5l xj

dude a 4cyl XJ for a DD would be rad. go for it! there was a super clean 1998 2wd 4cyl XJ for like 3k a few weeks back.

I want to eventually do a 4cyl MJ build, but stroke the 4 banger.

I paid $250 for my 8.8 4.10 Limited Slip at a local yard. New pads are cheap http://www.summitracing.com/parts/aaf-all56126 ($5.99 x 2) and you can reuse the dana 35 shock mounts if you cut carefully. I added about $5 worth of wire cable hardware and the factory emergency brake works great as well. Mine didn't even need a brake job and still doesn't 40k miles later! Bottom line $150 is a good deal, but if you miss it you can come close and installation is pretty easy if you can weld or have a friend who can.

Re: Craigslist things - Dana 35, LSD- Truetrac and G2 4.11 gears. - $400 (cupertino)

I am selling the rear end out of my 1996 Jeep Cherokee XJ. Its a Dana 35 all new bearings and seals, new LSD- Truetrac with G2 4.11 gears.
It is/was working fine, last year I replaced it with a d44 and I now I need to clean my garage.

I'm willing to let it go for $400.00, email me if you are interested.
Thx,
