It is time to start planning for the Sierra Chapter's Bald Mountain snow run. I know it is only October, but I need to pencil this in far in advance, as I'm sure many of you do as well.

Run is open to all.

Plan to be at the trail head Saturday, January 19, 2008. Thats Martin Luther King weekend, to allow for plenty of travel time.

This can be either a day run or a weekend run depending on feedback. I need to reserve the cabin within the next couple of weeks, if it is going to be a weekend run. Hopefully we can get the same cabin (possibly two cabins) that we rented last year. I would like to keep it as a weekend run so everyone can have a restful weekend.

If there is interest, we can take a trip around Blue Canyon Sunday morning for a little bonus fun in the quarry.

Here is the thread from last years snow run, a damn good time indeed.

P.S. For those of you that have never played boccie ball in the snow, you will not want to miss this run.

For this reason alone, you can't count me in for the weekend if theres room in a cabin.

That's too bad because we'll miss you.

In for two. I could use a bedroom...like the one I shared with Opie...but less Opie this year.

Holly shit, a snow run I can make!

I might try and make it pending a motor swap and getting my blower motor going. No heat would not be fun in the snow.

Heat is for XXXXXXs! (says me who had the "buggy" last year, and will have the ftoy this year) I am in for sure! I will grab a couch or some floor. I am good for both friday night and saturday night.

How is the F-toy coming ?

We are making progress. Its kinda on Rons shoulders at the moment being we are in the "design" and "program" mode for mounts, brackets, and whatnot. Moving slow, but moving. We going to be pounding on it hard the next couple weeks. Should move fast once stuff gets cut, punched, and formed. I hope.... :wierd:

Will do. Im hoping I can get it done pretty fast, and it shouldnt be all that hard. Where are you going to be over winter break?

Matt, just because Im getting soft in my old age doesnt mean you can make fun of me!

till the 27th of december ill be in Sacramento / Benicia...

I live right here in Prather. What would be a good minimum equipment setup for this run? I just got my XJ, which is going to be a DD. By then I hope it will be at about 4" on 31's, it's got a trac-lok in the rear. Suitable or not?
