ColoradoFest Thoughts

What i think would be cool, is do something like the jk experience or ultimate adventure. Pick trails all over co to run for a week straight. Spending days on the road, and driving from each trail to the next. I think that would he fun. Start in say ft. Collins and start on Kelly flats, then start traveling south. Hit spring creek, wheeler lake, holy cross, chinamans, and end on something like indy. Just a though. Something different then just boring BV like last year..................

Then you have to set up camping locations and amenities at each trail area, is there multiple trails for the variety of rigs at each place? is there shower and water hook ups? An can everyone afford to travel down the state from one end to another?

I think it is funny we complain about it always being at BV. Of all the other chapter events, how many move location? (as in the other chapters, and their main event for the year)

Keeping in mind you need a variety of trails for a variety of capabilities, camping with showers and hookups for a large group. Where else do you know that offers what bv does?

It is the most exciting thing every year to run the same trails? no.
Want something more exciting and different? - build a bigger rig and run harder trails, or just different lines on the trails....

We had it nailed down in January last year, Eary in the year in 2011. I can email Cathy anytime, and make the reservation. She likes us. I'll try to get the further group campground if we go there this year.

Im definitely going to most likely give it a shot at trying to make it out this year. I figure I've been a on this board long enough I might as well meet some of you guys.

As of right now my deployment has been cancelled. I'm not sure when my Annual Training will be as it wasn't scheduled due to the deployment. I will do my best to make it this year. And I vote keeping it BV.

Has a date been set yet?

We will be in Silverton the last week in July-first week in Aug. I know you don't plan on holding it there but since I will be close I might make a days travel out of it and come visit.

That's usually when we hold it, but nothing is firm as yet.

I better email the camp and check on things.

Group site currently is open from 7/20 to 8/8. Looks like 7/21 to 7/27, last week in July would work. Comments?? We need to get this nailed down.
