ColoradoFest Thoughts

I asked Cathy to go ahead and tentatively block G3 for those dates for us. I think she will, we can give it a couple of days.

I'll have to check my Annual Training dates, they put them out this weekend but I left the schedule at work. I know its in July though.

Will there be any stock rigs?Any trails for stock rigs?If so,how many usually show up?

There are more trails for stock rigs than for built rigs. While they are not hardcore, they are not short on beauty.

There is usually all levels of XJ's that show up. There are also trails for every level. Even if it is a harder trail, there are usually bypasses, as me how I know... because I saw Flores do them. Lol!

LMFAO!

Will likely be running my sisters rig on easy trails if my jeep isn't done by then. So I will at least be there to go around with ya

Thanks Tom
Any idea how many usually show up to run the easy trails? Will there be a list of the trails to be run, or are they decided on at the get together?Really want to meet a lot of the people on here.( I think!)

There is usually a list posted ahead of time but of course there are people that tend to vary from the list and run what they decided on at breakfast.

Thanks Tom

Unless the new management breaks the tradition, we tend to do a schedule of trails and then throw it away as things progress. Most times, around the campfire the night before or in the morning, people just start asking what trails everybody wants to run. On the easy ones, there may be as few as 2 rigs or as many as 20.

With the crappy economy and the high price of gas, attendance can run from 20 rigs to 50 rigs. The first couple of days tend to have just a few. As the weekend approaches, the head count goes up.

A stock XJ can run all but a maybe 4 or 5 trails. There are probably 40 trails that can be run in the area.

Have this little problem that I cant ride with anyone else! Will have the wife and possibly my 9 year old too. We are gonna try to make it .If we are the only stocker there, oh well!

There are usually a few stockers. Mines not a stocker, but half the time it doesn't work well enough to do anything technical. I always lead Hancock Pass, the easiest of the trails :)

Cathy has reserved group sites 2 and 3 for us July 21-July 27, along with the pavilion for Friday night. I have to get her the deposit in a couple of weeks. Let's see some enthusiasm here. :)

Awesome, I have AT from July 13th through July 27th. Have fun guys, I'll sit this one out..... again.
