ColoradoFest Thoughts

It is never too early to start discussing the details of ColoradoFest. The BOD is once again thinking that the BV area is the place to be, considering the variety of trails nearby and the great campground that we have been to with all the amenities. However we always welcome everyone's input.

Thoughts?
Ideas?
Suggestions?

We gave serious consideration to the Montrose area in the last few years. There are a couple of good campgrounds that were comfortable handling us with the rigs, but it can get a bit toasty there. That location puts Ouray/Silverton/Telluride about an hour away. It also allows access to some HARDCORE trails in the close vacinity. A little over an hour away is Grand Junction. You can even hit Moab in a couple of hours.

If we could get some support with the western slope peeps, it would be a nice change of pace.

we tried moving it year before last and it was a huge flop
RRC tried moving rides of march once too.... flop
leave well enough alone
if u want telluride montrose etc do it some other time

just me 2 cnts

I don't really disagree, but in my estimation last year was also a flop. And both are my fault. :)

at least address me correctly. Sir will do :roflmao:

I didn't feel like this last year was a flop. We had a blast. I got to beat up the dodge. There was a good dinner. And the evening shenanigans were entertaining

I was responsible and I wasn't happy with it. You showed up when you wanted and did what you wanted. Which is exactly what every freedom loving individual should do, but it doesn't speak to the experience of the entire week. The dinner was great. Is there a gizmo for patting yourself on the back. :)

You're right Freddddddd, we didn't drink enough beer or tear up enough rigs, no one showed up without a Jeep and still wheeled, oh but in a serious note Troy didn't make it.....automatic flop

Why am I getting dragged into this? :moon:

yano i think that most of us are in agreement that it should be left where it normally is but as with most politics, some other guy who isnt normally involved or has no real world knowledge of the event will chime in and tell us how we should do it....any way off that rant

it is best we decide now where it will be so we can focus on getting or turnout numbers up before july :)

and with that i say " warp one Mr sulu" and away we go

Uh no...... The lack of a broken rig would actually equate to having fun.

:twak:

I would say keep it in BV. I would love Montrose, but I don't think the turnout will quite be there.

I'll be there this time for once, with the buggy working :D

I think everything needs to be decided WAY in advance, as what seems to happen each year is sh*t is still being decided on way too close the event.

Get it set in stone ASAP, and I think attendance would be much better.

Plus...I've been dying to run Holy Cross and Carnage :D
