Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

As crappy as some of those cars look on I-25 I figured they were going farther south than Mexico. :roflmao:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Good ole Mexican car trains...Nothing like an escape flat towing two other cars behind it! Theres a copart auction site down the road from work. I've seen some rather interesting set ups.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I found my best deals for vehicles like that in the used car lots of new car dealerships. They are usually dirt cheap just before they wholesale them out to used car stealerships that jack the price up out of sight. My son bought a used 2015 Dodge Dart with 34,000 miles for $8400 at Toyota dealership in Nov 2016, with a 100,000 mile warranty.

I hear ya, but here is the list, there is a 2014 Chevy AWD Van I would take for cheap if I could. Also a 2014 Audi A4 just for reference.

LOL. In the mid-90's I bought a '72 Skylark for $600 off the back lot of a Subaru dealership.

A few weeks later, I saw a newspaper ad for "$99" cars at a Buick/GMC/Pontiac dealership. The ad showed a '72 Century with a 455 among the cars offered. Thought that 455 would be super groovy to swap in.

Took the ad, found a sales guy and told him I'd take the Century. Writing up the paperwork, they wanted to charge me $499 D&H, taxes and a $199 fee for the "detail cleaning" done to it. Nowhere on the ad did it have any mention of additional charges - you know, usually asterisks leading to the fine print kinda thing - nothing. Just a $99 car sale.

I got that Century for $99 after pitching a fit about bait and switch and false advertising. They sold it as a tow-away and refused to provide a temp tag. :D Can't find the photo of that car..........

My best deal was a 78 Dodge station wagon, V-8, in prime shape bought in 1980, about 40,000 miles, got a 50,000 mile extra warranty (which replaced the transmission once) all for $1800. I put over 400,000 miles on it, rebuilt the engine when the thrust bearings had a 1/4 inch of play in them and caused a knock LOL. Sold it in 1998 for about $500. I spent more rebuilding the engine in 94 than I did buying the rig in 1980, LOL.

I dunno, Mike, the voids in those tires look mighty narrow... :eyes:
