Re: The Colorado BS thread

Yeah they are sexy. Got em mounted last night. (Yay for hand mounting tires)
Gonna run today and get the beads set (need a cheetah). Then I might start stripping axles and roll under the jeep

Thats roughly what im shooting for. rear will come up another 2", front 1" for a smooth 23" belly height. Thats right at 114" wheelbase as well. May go slightly longer too.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

im not sure i will keep them. i want chilipepper red and grey tube. but we will see. I know i hate these seats to no end because they are yellow. But they were practically free, so ill minimize my bitching about it

C'mon now, Steve's are Hawaiian floral.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

to quit the stuff in here I started a thread for the abomination in the "other rides and builds" section.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I swear...I cannot make this stuff up. After three weeks of waiting...the new seat cover is in so I drop off the Jeep at the dealer this morning for my 9:30 appointment. I make it back home and get a call. They ordered the wrong part. :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Why on earth would you use a dealer? Last time I used a dealer this is what happened

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Actually that is a photo my Niece just shared, my daughter is on a trip to vacation with here in Arizona it seems. Just could not resist the jab at dealers and stealerships, while I shared to crazy photo, it made mu y day, and I never had anything but bad luck with stealerships.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Because the dealer was doing warranty work and ripped the leather. Not really a choice there. I cannot believe how many times they have dropped the ball in the last 6 weeks with my vehicle. When they called and told me this today I just bursted out laughing.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

That is exactly why I stopped using dealers. Took a new car into fix 3 things. Got it back days later, nothing fixed and they broke two more things while they had it.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Did you swap the motor with the skank? What was the motivation there?
The Skank (that is the current name for this project) needs a transmission. Putzer sent me a link to a parts Jeep, said to have 140K on the clock.

After contemplating all the nickles and dimes it would take to make the Skank pass emissions, I asked the parts Jeep owner about the engine. A day or two after that conversation, I asked about some of those nickles and dimes (EGR valve, $80!), and asked if I could pull anything I wanted for the price quoted on the engine and transmission. The nickles and dimes sealed the deal! As events worked out, he delivered the parts Jeep to me for the dollar amount we had been discussing all along... and everybody won!
