LOL...... Hope there wasn't a body or two in there....

Hard to believe they don't tow vehicles out of there before closing the road for the winter. (Assuming that's from Trail Ridge Road or some place similar....)

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I'm pretty sure the Subaru Legacy starter is about the most difficult I've ever had to replace. Bottom bolt requires 2' of extensions to reach, and top bolt requires removing most of the air intake.

That's what happens when they make cars with love .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

When I pull my seats out I am cutting for drive shaft access and transfer case mounting ...because it took me 2 hours to torque the nuts on these f-ing studs and once the skid plate goes back on reaching even the drive shaft bolts will be a swear fest on trail ....lol...the room around the trans tunnel leaves no room for a hand much less a wrench with leverage for torque . After cutting a cheap wrench down I used a pry bar to push on the wrench ...lol...a 5 minute job become over an hour . So the debate on cutting the floor pan is over .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Agreed - I had to change a couple sensors in the wife's old subi outback... turned into plastic man to manuver around all the crap. And I DO have tiny lesbian hands. :eyes:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Was not wanting to rip off my hi steer arms first run , so I pulled the wheels and welded the knuckles to the arms . I made sure I could easily reach my welds on trail with my angle grinder and this left me unable to weld the front as it was easy to reach for welding , but not cutting , so with some thick plate and 1.5 .250 wall tube I tied the hi steer arm to the knuckle , so the knuckle are plated the inner c's gusseted and hi steer arms bolted welded and braced ...Thes arms should hold up for awhile and depending on how hard they really are to pull and put back on during next service they Will either stay or be replaced with Crane knuckles , but they should be pretty hard to break now ...lol
