collection of jeep stuff(build/blog)

I get spark something is up with the fuel... I took a short vid I will get it up soon.

It will start for a half second and bog down then suddenly shoot up then back down again until it finally dies. Then it will just crank unless it sits for a while. I depress the schrader valve after and pressure seems weak. A real head scratcher. I dropped the tank. Swapped pumps with another Bosch. Replaced cap. cleaned battery terminals and tightened them real good. even tried to jump start it.

So freeeeeegin weird though really. I drove it all around yesterday even paid registration lol and I woke up this morning and I got this.

What about a bad ballast resistor for the fuel pump? Not 100% sure if yours has one, but it could be worth looking into.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? From experience low pressure will usually let you idle ok. It just shows up when the throttle is pushed. Obviously it's not the pump since you already swapped it. I'd check the aic motor.

Ah okay, good to know. I've got a fuel pressure tester if you need to borrow it.

Disregard

I should read threads before I post

Could also be the fuel filter clogged up too.

I get hardly anything from the rail now. I mean like dribbles ..
Swapped iac and unplugged map no difference. I didn't expect them to but worth a shot.

God damn I'm really about to get it towed if I can't figure it out soon :/

Don't wanna drop the coin on a whole pump assembly. But it's leaning that way

Oh wait. You didn't change the assembly? You deffinately have a clog somewhere. Either in the pump assembly or in the line.

I ended up ordering a Delphi assembly from rock auto. It was 153 shipped. Everywhere I tried to get a Bosch unit cheaper were out of stock or damaged.

I got the jeep running again the other day. Swapped out a whole fuel pump assembly from pnp. Added my new filters and it worked. Not sure what took a dump but I'm happy.

Today found out one of my MOOG upper bjs is worn out. I can't remember when I did them but it was roughly a year ago.. Either I got a lemon or moogs quality sucks now. Either way I'm buying a spicer replacement. Guessing that's my cause of the slight wobble I would get without a stabilizer. Jeep also started pulling right a short while back.

My upper right is a moog and is worn as well. I picked up a full set of spicers from serious offroad for a decent price last week, though I considered the alloy USA set for a little more. Just need to get them installed before Sierra fest.

For now I just have too much to do. So just the one upper for now. Although it looks like spicers come in a pair of upper and lower.
Bought a Honda CR250 and I am moving into a new place by the 1st.

Got this guy.. Never had a 2 stroke before and every gear wants to pop up! Especially with my scronny self.

Also found a bad wheel bearing and swapped out both sides with new timken hubs and bearings. It wore out the upper bj too. Although the new MOOG I got has play out of the box. Sometimes I wish I didn't order from rock auto out of convenience.
