collection of jeep stuff(build/blog)

Droooooooool!!!!!!

Had a bit of fun today working on some heeeeeps!

Got my ass handed to me by my jeep today..
I really respect anybody who's done this. It's a shit ton of work.

What I started with.

Cuts made below the door sill and fender chopped

Cut made on the underside

Rocker gone and angle iron mocked uo

welding in on the underside to the angle iron

I still have a fack ton to do. Needs frame to slider supports and the flat bar from slider to frame welded in. I have some 1x12" flat steel that I gotta figure how to line up. Still haven't trimmed the door either. Spent a good 5-6 hrs to get where I am at.. The other side should go much faster

Looks good pat. Im going to need to do this before the cagework gets welded together.

This type of thing is so far in my future that I cant even imagine it. Good on you for taking this on so vigorously Pat.

Passenger side door is buttoned up. Needs some finishing touches and some frame supports.
overall I gained roughly 3 3/4" front the bottom of my old sliders to these new ones. I'm liking it.

Looks great mang. I am digging it.

Thank you all!

Well ... Rig number four was purchased tonight. A whopping $300...

I'll get pics up tomorrow but it is very straight with just normal wear and tear.

1992 4.0 AW4 NP231 146k miles 2 Door
Chrysler 8.25 rear base model with manual windows and locks it's gray in color with gray interior.

So far every jeep I've owned has been 2 doors... Trendy

Driver seat is pretty beat. But the carpet headliner and rear seat are really clean.. Has four Brand new tires with literally 850 miles on them.

Now here is why I haggled my way to $300...
It bogs down big time when you gas it. To the point where it almost dies. I can feather the pedal and get it to drive like 15mph or so.. I'm gonna start with the basics. Check TPS and grounds.. I can hear a huge vaccum leak around the break booster/intake manifold area. I haven't pinpointed it as of tonight as I only got it home an hour ago.

Otherwise it is very straight body as I said before. I've only found 2 door dings. Bumpers are straight. The poor sap I bought it from thought the Transmission was going out but I think otherwise.. He has owned it since 2008 and has lots of maintenance records. Anyways . Further troubleshooting and I think I can have this going by the weekend.

That thing is MINT! I cant believe you got that for $300

Thanks homiez!
Pulled codes and got one for the o2 sensor. Gonna go ahead and order one up. Also located the big vacuum leak. Was the large hose running along the firewall. The braided engine to body ground had melted it at some point. Unfortunately, I have pretty limited tools at my house right now. The rest are in my jeep at my dad's warehouse. The throttle body definitely needs a cleaning.

Oh Ya and first jeep I've had with functioning ac haha.
