Coil Spring Buckets

Would you buy or make coil spring buckets for the front axle?

I will have to relocate my coils on my axle to clear some steering linkage and was wondering what do do, make or buy them. Since the coil buckets are being moved back, the axle will be moved foward to keep the coil geometry the same and also lengthen the wheelbase a little bit:)

Pics of the steering will come later. Can you say Dodge 1 ton ends :D

I searched and saw Beezils post for the coil mounting but the photos all had a little red X.

Thanks,

AARON

I made mine. Just 6" x 3.5"OD x 3/16" pipe - capped and mounted on a steel plate.

JeepFreak, do you have any pics of what your coil buckets look like? If you cant host them, I would still like to see them. Shoot me an email if you dont mind.

B, anything you got would be great. Did you end up using that coil mounting that you had in the other post or end up with something else?

Thanks,

AARON

That's about what mine look like. JnJ, where did you mount your control arm mounts? Do you have any pics after they're installed?
Billy

I used only 1 upper on the passenger side. This is the best picture I have:

So your only running one upper total? Do you like this setup, what are the advantages and dis/ verses 2 uppers off the long arms. Thanks

no binding, especially since he's running heims on the arms (they don't allow for any flex to relieve binding forces).

disadvantage is that if one upper arm fails - big trouble, with two arms there's very slight chance that both upper arms will fail at the same time

Yup, that pretty much sums it up.
