Hey all,

Just swapped my SYE kit from my old transfer case to the new transfer case. The old case was a 21 spline unit and the new one was 23

the swap was very easy, basically split the two cases in half, then put back together. onnly two mod i had to do to the new case was
A: cut the shift rail 1" shorter (typical for the AA kit)
B: swap the cable speedo out for the new electronic sender

after the install, there is no speed signal. it is throwing the CEL for code 15 which is pretty obvious

But what i am asking is what is the most likely cause for this?

Info yall might want:

the tranny, and t-case are from a '93 XJ, swapped into a 2wd '94 XJ

the speedo gears were both orange (same ratios 3.55)

sender is plugged in

thanks in advance

Sensor rotated so that it's engaged?

it only has 4 different ways that it will go (90 degrees) cuz of the clip that holds it

i put it in the new one the same way it came out of the old one, it is possible that it needed to be rotated to a different position?

i dont want to drain it tonight, so ill check it out tomorrow, but lookin at pics online, i think i may have it clocked 90 degrees off...not that pics on the internet are gonna solve my problems, but might as well try it....

i guess this is due to the different size mainshaft that it has now :dunno:
