hey anyone going to be in pismo the 1st? It is kinda looking like I am headed that way for new years. I was able to scroung up some cash, but not enough to hit up Phils run. I will be playin in the dunes starting around noon or so. I cant sleep much past then, even after a party night.

Anyone down?

Hey scrappy how much fun was the creek crossing after all the rain. I heard that some people were having a wee bit of trouble with it.

Yeah, one of the Bakersfield guys lost his truck and toy hauler in the river........nastly looking with the water nearly over the top of the cab.

Ya I heard that a few people decided to try to cross and didn't quite make it. A budy of mine was coming back from Vegas on monday and 46 was littered with trailers that had been blown over by the wind or ran off the road because of it. We had quite a few accidents here because nobody can be bothered to slow down when it rains. We even had a high speed chase until the CHP decided that giving the idiot his speeding ticket wasn't worth killing themselves or him over.

I must have gotten lucky when I was there, both times I crossed it was only about 3 inches deep. I did like 20 through it the second time!

went yesterday, instead of bald mountain. it was beautiful. not to many people. I wish the river was a bit lower but it was still crossable. I lost a ford 150 to that river back in 96. screw that river.

Love how that tow truck is sitting right where the money is going to be. Back in the ancient 80's my buddy and I would get good money to pull people out of that creek after a good rain. Helps when you run a big block and 40" tire to get across.
