Hopefully I heal quickly and I can get the OK to still make the end of CO Fest as a spectator with a gimp!
Cool photos Troy. Kind of a "Before and "After" type thing.

Wow, a pretty rough wake up call! Could have been worse though...

Sounds like all is fun and happiness now though. So... we will get weekly/daily whine session...er...updates, that's it, updates, yah on your condition? :D

Do they forsee a followup operation to fix anything they delayed repairing?

91 Jeep- I had to re-read that one. How did you get powder coat in the eye? Never worked with the stuff, so am morbidly curious ;)

Anyway...
Seems like this is the perfect thread for this....

This is actually still up for debate. But this is my best guess at this point. I was in the garage around 10 am working on an axle. Just had the grinder and a wire wheel going, getting all the old shit off the tubes. That all went fine. About 8 hours later, I was just sitting at my computer, and my eye iched(horribly allergic to tree pollen), so I scratched it. Went downhill from there. Immediately felt like something was in there scratching the shit out of my eye. Long story short, ended up at the ER to have it removed. Took them 30 minutes to find it. They were about to give up that there was even anything in my eye. So all I got is that somehow, a small chunk of the crap was sitting on the edge of my eye. That is survived the shower, and sat there for 8 hours, until I eventually rubbed it in................:dunno:

I see, so it wasn't the raw powder, but the coating/crud/rust from the axle. Makes sense now! I've had that happen. It's one of those little things safety glasses don't always save you from because it isn't usually a direct hit but falls into the eye from another source (hair, clothing...) :(
