First of all: Brendan, many thanks for hosting the party and doing all the cooking.
I have to echo the following sentiment:

I understand that folks' schedule changes, things come up, but we had plenty folks who rsvp'd not show up. This is bad because of all the food that was purchased, that's not returnable. At the end (unless a lot of folks showed up late) we lost money. I know it's not all about money, but it's money that could have been saved..... So in future, if you RSVP and can't make it, please let someone know so that adjustments can be made. I bought food today right before the party as to have the best matchup between food and number of folks attending.

that is totally lame, i drove over 2 hours up, hung for 3 hours and drove 3 hours back ( traffic really f^$&en blew ) i was so late i missed my 2nd party!!! but the point is i went and my daughter and i had a really good time once again, thank you to all who hosted/ organized

My trip to NY was shifted back a week and then extended, I flew back in to cali 12 hours before the party started, and really didn't want to leave the comfort of my bed yet.
