Agreed.
As a "fricken foreigner", Made in USA means nothing more to me than made in Japan, Taiwan, whatever. It's probably half decent but you still have to watch what you are buying; if it's cheap there is probably a reason.
Buying a sh!tty product is a crap shoot based up where it is built. I give more weight to reviews and manufacturer history, for example.
Example: when a formerly good manufacturer starts making crap they get moved to the crap list with the rest. In recent history, Sony comes to mind. 10-15 years ago their consumer grade stuff was fairly resonable quality/price. Now it seems to be junk. Their policies on DRM makes me ignore their "prosumer" stuff (that's my policy).
What I'm saying is junk is junk regardless of where it is made.
