When is the next one?
is there one planned any time soon?
I'm up for one and I guess this could be a start
Where was it done last year?
What days would be good for you?
Just thought I would ask Kinda bored at home right now sooo just throwing the idea in the air.

Dang missed poll by 3 minutes O well
just don't want to leave it up to someone to clean up there house after them lending it to us
But if you want its up to you
I think it would be better at a park with grills and such but throw some ideas up dates and time location
Hey what does your Custom User Title mean under your name? 49erRider? just wondering

Ha, I couldn't think of what to put so I just put "Custom User Title"

No worries if you guys know a park that works. Most the Charlotte guys have been to my house but a park works just as easy.

I'm sure Jim or Tim will chime in with the park info

me to, havent met many guys from charlotte.
met 49erRider
and tim, think thats his name. im not good with names lol
i might be willing to drive the jeep up.

na yours is a mall crawler...... LOL JK
Well JIM TIM chime in what you think, who on here usually gets this thing together?

Last year we did it at Reedy Creek Park which is on the North East side of Charlotte...right around this time of year too.

Thread with all the info from start to finish, so you get an idea of what was involved in planning it: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1032043&highlight=Charlotte+Meet+Greet

And yeah, that was me you met when I snatched that D44 for Nick.

I'd be game for another one. We would need to book sooner than the week before this time around, as we almost didn't get a shelter reserved. Last year we were able to score some swag and raffle it off to help cover the cost of renting the shelter, and what we didn't get from that others pitched in out of their pockets. Food was a group effort and easy stuff....hot dogs and burgers, chips, soda..etc.

Just keep in mind July is going to be a busy month for the SEC...Harlan KY for the Crawl the beginning of July, and then Carolina Beach at the end, so i would suggest doing it either late this month, sometime early-mid June, or in August.

BTW I was just out in Dallas a couple of weeks ago. Have a couple of friends out there (one with a lifted XJ). What part do you live in?

Let me know when and where and I'll see if I can come up. Late this month and early next is bad for me though.

Hey I'm glad everyone is interested in doing this again. I organized it mostly last year with help from Tim, as far as things go right now I have just been totally swamped, I can organize it again I would just need a little more help from you guys this year.

First things first lets get some dates together post up dates you are not doing anything and would be willing to dedicate most of the day to.

Think of things you might want to do...
Last year we had a great time, cooked out, swapped parts, ate a bunch, looked at jeeps, Tim and Nick had a surprise award giveaway, and played Frolf (Frisbee golf)

Once we get that figured out then we should figure out were it should be held.

I have picked up a second job its pretty flexible but i still gotta kind of figure it out a little bit ahead of time so if this is something that you guys want to go on into the evening that's something i need to know so i can take off work that night.

A few ideas i had were:
bbq at a park afternoon thing (would require renting a pavillion)
ure overnight camping wheeling (would require renting a campsite if we want to go that route or we could go primitive)
bbq and bonfire (would require someone who wants to host)
and brad offered his place for bbq (give us a time frame so if we decide to have it here we dont crash your place and hang out too late)

Thanks again for the intrest and I hope we can get enough people interested to keep this thing growing and make it bigger every year. We have to out do those Tennessee boys!

If you did the URE thing you can rent one of the group sites for $45/day IIRC. We did a flog there a couple years ago and it cost me $90 to get the camp round for the weekend. Has nice showers there too.
