Hour and a half?! Really? You must have more interstate than I do. Takes me 2 hours to get to Charlotte...

It's ZERO interstate...that's why it takes an hour and a half. It's only like 83-84 miles from Charlotte to his shop. 5 of them are on the interstate, the rest are on country back roads and 2 lane state highways.
If it were more interstate, it be just a little over an hour.

Actually there is a sighn that says it's 84 miles to Charlotte at Hartsville. So that is actually fairly accurate.

Good to know. I remember now, when I reset my trip meter at the gas station before leaving a couple of weeks ago, it was 84.0 from that gas station to my door.

3 Hours from Charlotte to Abbeville
3 Hours from Abbeville to Hartsville
I know I can get to Charlotte in about 2 hours. Maybe a little more.
I also know that it takes me 2 hours to get to Columbia so it must be close on the Abbeville to Hartsville stretch.
This boils down to 2 things.
1: We all drive too fast.
2: I farther from everything than anyone else. Therefor, I don't get to do anything fun.
