"Also, it uses FIAT parts since one company bought the other's designs."

Is that supposed to be a plus? Wow....

Well that may be the only manufacturer in the world that one could consider Fiat parts an improvement for :shiver:

Man I dunno. My nephew had a Yugo and sure he had a push button for a starter and he had to manually make the windshield wipers work. Oh and the Headlight switch was a cheap knockoff from Checker but damn...that thing could wheel! He could follow me almost anywhere my 90 YJ would go.

Thats not sayin' much for the Yugo.....
I know...But seriously I was amazed at where he could get that stupid thing.

I think being short and the fact that he didn't give a crap about the car added up to some pretty amazing feats.

Man, I had one of those once. Actually a decent little car. Really bad fitment inside but it was fairly quick, got damn good mileage and never broke down. Finally sold it cause a bud had one that shit a starter and it cost well over $100 to get a new one with a 3-4 week wait. Sold mine and one day we figured out you could use the starter off a GoldWing motorcycle on it. Took some modifying but it worked.

The reason Yugo's had rear defrosters was so your hands would'nt get cold pushing it...

I knew a guy in highschool whose Russian-born parents bought him one new for graduation. We all died laughing, but last I talked to him, its still running with very few repairs over the years. Going on 20 now...

One of the early David Letterman shows - maybe first season:

Top Ten List.
Top Ten car names that didn't make it to production.
(I can only remember two)

The Ford Gelding, and
The Yugo Screw Yourself

Anybody know the other eight?
