Can I turn the DS Tie Rod End to top of knuckle?

Hey all.
Looking at my front end, can anyone tell me a reason not to flip the driver's side tie rod end to over the knuckle? Could I not just drill it out and put in a tapered bushing? It looks like if I did, the tie rod would level up to the point that it meets the drag link and get it way up outta the way. Looks like it would work. Anybody done this? What'd you think?

Goferit makes that bushing! You will nedd to modify the sway-bar mount on that side, as the tie rod will hit it if it's not extended.

Sooners? :spin1: :-)
Terry-
I finished the GoFerit tie-rod flip on mine last night. There IS some additional fab work that's needed. The sway bar bracket on the axle has to be moved on the driver's side. I went ahead and did both sides to also get the drag link TRE out of the way. I used a set of ORGS extensions.

How did you do the PS TRE on the? Did you cut the DL and sleeve and weld on tubing? I ordered mine yesterday from him and he said this is what alot of guys are doing. I'd sure like to know. If it seems like it works I may order another before he ships it out tomorrow.

I just did the flip on the driver's side. I did the sway bar extensions on both sides so the drag link TRE wouldn't hit while turning hard right. The tie rod is now straight across and parallel with the ground.

I'd like to see pictures and hear about doing the draglink TRE flip to the right front wheel using a right-hand drive draglink, of course with the left wheels TRE flipped too. Anyone done this?
