Any of you interested in some car camping or backpacking this spring, summer, fall (something to pass the time until winterfest)? I'm looking at IL, WI, MI, or IN. Most of my weekends are open...

If your interested post up and let me know where you are from, if you have any suggestions and when you would be free.

hope this ok to post this here.

btw these are not BLAXJA sponsored events.

as someone who does not have a jeep, where is rocks and valleys? is there anything else to do in the area...hiking, fishing, a good bar or two?

I have been wanting to try real primitive camping, only use what fits in my backpack type of camping. sadly i have my 1st child coming in about a month, so i can only assume my camping will suffer a loss this summer. hopefully by fall the wife will let me out.

i know wheeler host a deal up in MI at his house i believe that's what he was referring to. similar to WF but in dans back yard. i have not been yet, but hope to get there.

JJ, I'll get with my buddy and see if we can have a guy's weekend at the cabin. Plenty of woods to hike, places to make things go boom, fishing, bonfires, etc. The only hitch is that it's his in-laws' place, so it's not like we can host a whole houseload of MWCers. I'd be lucky to get one or two guys that they don't know to be able to join us up there.

josh that would be awesome. i dont care how many people are able to come. hell i want to be camping/backpacking at least once a month this year.

I'll talk to my buddy and see what we can set up. It is always a good time in the Wisconsin Northwoods.

If you wanna shoot down to Hoosier national JJ I'd be up for some camping or Hell make it here and we can hit my farm in ky.

I have access to a cabin about 10 miles from where the races are in Crandon, WI. And possibly a place on Little Sturgeon Bay. It would be nice to meet more of you guys, I think..

I have been going here for the last few years. http://www.shotguneddy.com/Welcome.html They let you bring all of the booze/beer you want and take you to and from the water in a bus.

This is how we roll; not exactly roughing it.

Crandon ehh? I could swing by that way this summer sometime...

KY is nice...

you are correct, i love KY. only problem is most of my camping/backpacking this year is based around 2-3 day weekends. KY is a bit of a drive from chicago.

not that i would be against taking an extra day or two off work.

I'm gonna try to do lots of camping this year. Hopefully some UP and out of state trips if I can afford it.
Pretty sure I'll be going to silver lake for fathers day weekend.

i would love to head up to the UP for some camping. i just dont know a damn thing about the UP and i'm not sure about heading up there without knowing where i'm going.
