California Smog Check

Is there a differance in the smog requirments between Sacramento and the bay area?
Im moving back to Woodland and my jeep is due for a smog check (Test only station).

I just got my renewal notice and can now join the Test Only crowd. Just another ploy to separate us from our parts money!!

You guys are lucky... I gross poluted 5 yrs ago and have been test only each year for the last 5 years.. Every year I get a pretest done to make sure it passes before I spend the money for the actual test..

Parts money, Hell! When I get sent to a TO station, the damn smog ends up costing twice what the tags go for (which are already twice what I really should be paying for them in the first place...)

Yeah, that hidden gross polluter rule sucks. I would hate to have to deal with a smog every year.


Man, I really need to open a test only smog station if this trend keeps up.

No what sucks is there is no consistancy.

Scott gets GP and has test only all the time.

I get GP once and get two test onlys in a row.

I get GP again and nothing comes out of it - the next test I had two years later was a standard test.
