Buying brand new jeep...what you guys think?

well it does have swagger.

WTF "carolina Boi edition"

I found it funny that they were watching "Finding Nemo" on the DVD...

Nothing says "swagger" like a Disney animated movie!!!

Kinda just pisses me off that they would do that to a vehicle that is actually capable of off-roading. Leave the 28" rimzzz on ur H2, H3, Escalades etc...

Wonder how funny it would look with the doors off? Sell the tires/rimz and buy a lift kit, lockers, wheels/tires, sliders, winch, Atlas transfer case, then end world poverty with the left over change.

As much as I dislike what they did to it, Jeeps like that serve two valuable purposes:

1) As a warning to others. Nothing screams 'I'm a tard' like that JK.

2) Comedy value. It's always fun to watch the owner and whoever he dragged along for a demonstration of his Jeep's awesome off-road prowess get stuck in a mud puddle that a CR-V just went through. Once in a while you get really lucky and get to see them shred rubber-band tyres and mangle their phat rimz.

I'd just start with one that wasn't an abortion to begin with. Usually if someone will dump that much money into bling, they've completely skipped out on maintenance.

Baha good points sir. I know it has already served the purpose of a piece of comedy. Hope the owner finds this post one day.

Lolz @ phat rimz. Yea I know that if I hit a curb on my 33s i'm like oops sorry for wheeling over your curb. You hit a small curb with those tires and you're gonna jar your insides loose and crack your dope rimz. 28"s...really?....really??

Not a one of the mentioned vehicles is incapable of wheeling. In fact, H3s w/Adventure pack will make it through a lot of what a JK Rubi will, and be better in the go fast stuff. Fairly evenly matched off-road, just different strengths.

I'd rock that JK. With a 3" lift and 35s or 37s. It wouldn't be wheeled over anyting difficult though. Paint's too nice. :D

Um....WHAT?! I have no clue where to begin in bashing this. Guess I'll start at the top and work my way down...

H2,H3, and Escalades suck at wheeling. Independent suspension sucks at wheeling. Thusly we reach the conclusion that all previously said vehicles suck at wheeling, i.e. they all have independent suspension. When I say wheeling I mean rocks/boulders not splashing through a mud puddle or going over a curb. I kinda hope you were JK'ing about the idea no, even the notion that an Escalade could wheel...I'll just leave the Escalade alone.

An H3 can't even compare to a JK Rubi. Rubi has solid axles, Dana axles, AND lockers! They are NO WHERE NEAR evenly matched off road.

JK RUBI stats:
The Rubicon package is the dedicated "Offroad" package. Standard components of the Rubicon package include Front and rear generation II Dana 44 axles, front and rear electronic lockers, rock rails, Electronic sway bar disconnect, 32 spline rear axle with an 8.8 inch ring gear, 4:1 Rock-Trac transfer case, 4.10 axle gearing.

H3 can come with electronic lockers and 4x4 and that's it.

Not sure if your talking about 35/37" tires or rimz. Don't see the point in having a jeep with a lift and that size of tires if your not going to wheel it. Guess all it's good for is driving around town and being a poser.

This concludes the bashing.:soapbox:hasta:nono::twak:

....Thusly...

Did you really use the word "Thusly" in 2011?

Honestly, without the rims I really like that color.

I'm with Darky, I'd drive that all day long with some 37" tires instead of 28" rims.

I mean, who cares what you think. It's a matter of personal preference.

Who know's why people take perfectly good pickup trucks, cuts the frame in half, slams it on the ground and puts 24" rims on it with air bags to adjust ride height? I don't know why they do it but that was one of my first projects... I did it because I like the way it looks. There is no reason to why they did what they did other than that's what they like. Period.

Oh my bad dude, I must have missed the list of words that were deleted from the English language in 2011. Do me a favor and PM me that list? Thanks man!!

Color was never in question...the ridiculous 28" rimz is what cracked me up.

Based on your retort, I would say you care.

BTW, nothing wrong with a C-notched truck laying frame...that actually take craftsmanship.

TBH I don't know why the hell this turned into a big debate, thanks Darky for bringing that on.

Hey this instead playa

Think I just threw up a little bit. Holy !%!@ those flares are HUGE. That chrome bumper?! It's a legit bumper buy dang I can't imagine how much it would cost just powder coated let alone chromed! Wonder if it's even 4x4? lol

That flares are stock, aren't they? He needs a solid chrome winch on that solid chrome winch bumper.

That one is significantly tackier than the first one. I wouldn't have anything to do with that one.

Agreed. Maybe some chrome rock sliders. Oh, and make sure that winch cable is chrome too! Man if those are stock flares :puke:

Not a fan of the new jeeps TBH. V6 FAIL.

So I was trying to find other pics of nasty looking jeeps and found this:
